  congratulations.. i hope all who are exposing the wt be encouraged by the massive flood of those waking-up and then working shoulder to shoulder with you.. may this year 2017 bring many good things!..

  help me think like an elder

  ok guys, i have been tasked to ask for your opinions regarding this case.. and be honest.

  my brother sexted a girl a little over a year ago, they never dated, and she got mad at him.... she got engaged and the engagement ended in august.. she attempted suicide, then talked to the elders an told him she was gonna tell on him too, now that was in august, the sister told my brother that since she didn't know his hall they couldn't do anything.. we found that doesn't seem right, so hes been freaking out, but ita now two days away from 2017 and the elders haven't speaked to him yet.. why could that be?

  could they give him all this time to confess?

  romans 13 : 1-7 "let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities" etc,"the existing authourities stand placed in their relative positions by god" 2".therefore he who opposers the authourity has taken a stand against the arrangement of god ,those who have taken a stand against it will recieve judgement to themselves "etc,etc,.."..to him who calls for honour such honour.".

  isnt this plainly stating that christians should be supporting and playing along with the governments of this sytem of things ?

  that it is in fact an arrangement of god ?

  its a good job your not baptised--because if you were---asking questions like this

  I asked, how could this be if they are two different Spirits? If the one is also implying the other, why does Acts mention them apart from each other? I told them that in my view, what they were implying was that the two Spirits are in fact only one spirit could get you disfellowshipped.

  if youre not sure what disfellowshipping means--ask those elders to explain. also--ask them about shunning too.

  AND STILL NO RELEASE OF THE 2017 JW YEARBOOK

  here we are on the cusp of the new year, and the 2017 yearbook of jws has still not been released.

  jw.org continues to feature the 2016 yearbook in its list of main publications.

  in previous years, the upcoming yearbook's annual report on jws was released in november for the january 1st then the feb 1st watchtower, then earlier in december when it was only featured in the yearbook, then more recently with a couple of days of december 25th.

  Do cong members have any say?

  Or is it just announced to them by CO

  just a thought--i wonder if the watchtower makes its decision to sell based on the donated income from a hall ? if its below a set percentage--then cash it in.

  is dedicated, the sheep are told that the building "will be a great witness for jehovah.

  the opposite must now be true - when they get rid of it to accumulate cash, they must now be "un-witnessing for jehovah.".

  hows this for a business plan:

  the local dubs have their own--very nice hall. built with slave voluntary labour--and paid for by their own contributions.--and a mortgage to the society.

  but now--the watchtower orders it to be sold--and the money sent to the society.

  the local congregation then continue to contribute the same amount as they did before--in perpetuity.

  however--the hall is then sold to an investor---who promptly leases it back to the congregation---who now have to pay rent as well !

  so--everyone is happy. just that the local dubs are too thick to realise they have been shafted.

  what a fine witness to jehovah--putting his halls up for sale.

  "closing down sale--everyone must go"

  one of those listed by 'spilver above--Ryde isle of Wight...is in the town i live in. i went there once--for a wedding. that family are long out of it now.

  before that quick build went up-- ( 80's ?)----the Ryde congregation already had a hall--but it was bursting at the seams.

  so now--the town wont have a hall at all. the dubs are to share another hall in Newport IW--10 miles away. 2 congregations share it already. there are also 2 other halls on the island--at Lake ( Shanklin ) and at Totland ( Freshwater )

  the Ryde hall mentioned is in a prime location--adjacent to a rebuilt Tesco superstore--and a newly refurbished MacDonalds.

  i bet the local dubs must feel something is very wrong with all this.
